Capécure - Boulogne-sur-Mer

Industrial and territorial ecology

In Boulogne-sur-Mer, Capécure plans on maintaining its position as Europe’s leading fish-processing port district.

To assist it in doing so, 2EI Veolia has developed an industrial and territorial ecology approach, meeting over 65 public and private entities, conducting over 100 hours of interviews to identify 20 priority actions. 2 of these have been selected: 1. the testing of a corporate utility optimization service in a partnership with Boulogne’s seafood and agro-food training centre, 2. developing a water optimization process to replace drinking water with sea water in industrial processes. Frédéric Cuvillier, president of the Boulonnais Agglomeration Community (CAB) and president of the Federation of Investment and Economic Development Agencies (CNER) welcomed the approach during his presentation to Villes de France and to the Association of Directors of French Communities (ADGCF) on 26th April 2018.
